Coltrane Computer
John Coltrane in Dix Hills and at the Half Hollow Hills Community Library.

    • The home of jazz music greats John Coltrane and Alice Coltrane is located in Dix Hills and has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Coltrane Family lived here from 1964 to 1973.
It was at this home that John Coltrane composed "A Love Supreme." The historic landmark designation is a significant tribute to the home where the Coltranes impacted the music world.

    • "The Friends of the Coltrane Home" have partnered with the Half Hollow Hills Community Library
in Dix Hills to put together a seachable database of Coltrane's music and photos for you to browse,
listen to, and learn about this great jazz artist. Much of the information has been donated by "collector supreme" Yasuhiro "Fuji" Fujioka and inlcudes exclusive photos not found elsewhere. The computer is located on the main floor at the Dix Hills building.
