Grades K-5 

For National Aviation History Month, explore the science of flight with the Long Island Children's Museum. Learn about the milestones in aviation history and create a glider. District Residents Only. 

Materials Needed:

  • Printed activity sheet that will be emailed to registered patrons
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • A straw
  • Paper clip
  • Coffee filter or plastic bag from a store
  • 4 pieces of yarn or string

Programs may be photographed/videotaped for library publicity. Notify library staff if you prefer not to have your child or yourself photographed.
