Inclement Weather Notice

Due to the upcoming inclement weather, the library is closed Sunday, February 22 and Monday, February 23.

All community groups and programs are canceled. All fitness classes except for Monday night Zumba will continue virtually.

Resident March/April Fitness Registration
has been moved to Wednesday, February 25 at 10:00 AM.

Non‑Resident Fitness Registration
has been moved to Thursday, February 26 at 10:00 AM.

Registration for all other March events
will continue on Tuesday, February 24 at 10:00 AM for adults and 6:00 PM for children and teens.

Brian Young is an author and filmmaker (Ancestor Approved: Intertribal Stories for Kids, Healer of the Water Monster). A member of the Navajo Nation, he grew up on the Navajo Reservation but now lives in Brooklyn, NY. Listen to him talk about his work and what led him to becoming an author. Copies of his novel, Healer of the Water Monster, will be available for pick up for those registered for the event, starting on Tuesday, November 1 at the Dix Hills or Melville locations. Teens who participate will receive 2 hours of community service.
