Services to Individuals with Disabilities
Talking Books Program
To assist low-vision and blind patrons in obtaining free Talking Books, the Half Hollow Hills Community Library works closely with the Andrew Heiskell Library of the New York Public Library. This longstanding program provides easy-to-operate free digital players and tens of thousands of recordings, as well as Braille. Patrons place their orders via a toll-free number, and titles are delivered to their residences and returned to Heiskell via postage-free mail. Memory Fitness
Improve your memory while having fun in a calm and uplifting atmosphere. Play games, make a craft, and socialize with friends. For more information, check our newsletter for upcoming Memory Fitness Programs.

Music & Memory
The Half Hollow Hills Community Library participates in the MUSIC & MEMORY® program. MUSIC & MEMORY® is a non-profit organization that helps individuals with a wide range of cognitive and physical conditions to engage with the world, ease pain, and reclaim their humanity through the use of personalized music playlists.
The Library offers free iPods to our patrons for a lifetime loan. Once you complete the MUSIC & MEMORY® Playlist Questionnaire, we upload your customized playlist to an iPod.
