Inclement Weather Notice

Due to the upcoming inclement weather, the library is closed Sunday, February 22 and Monday, February 23.

All community groups and programs are canceled. All fitness classes except for Monday night Zumba will continue virtually.

Resident March/April Fitness Registration
has been moved to Wednesday, February 25 at 10:00 AM.

Non‑Resident Fitness Registration
has been moved to Thursday, February 26 at 10:00 AM.

Registration for all other March events
will continue on Tuesday, February 24 at 10:00 AM for adults and 6:00 PM for children and teens.

Grades K-5 

This spectacular show thrills audiences with impressive science experiments. The event includes foggy dry ice storms and demonstrates how giant beach balls can float in the air. Be amazed by sizzling, shivering scissors and special bubbly showers! 

Register one spot per family. Please make sure to enter the number of people in your family that will be attending. District Residents Only. 

Visit the Gallery in Dix Hills between 11 AM–12 PM to celebrate National STEAM Day and join some of the Children’s Librarians for some fun STEAM activities. 

While you are visiting on Election Day-stop in at the Children’s Room and vote for your favorite Children’s Book Character. 

Please Note: This program will take place at 55 Vanderbilt Parkway. Please abide by the age and grade restrictions. Programs may be photographed/videotaped for library publicity. Notify library staff if you prefer not to have your child or yourself photographed.
