Inclement Weather Notice

Due to the upcoming inclement weather, the library is closed Sunday, February 22 and Monday, February 23.

All community groups and programs are canceled. All fitness classes except for Monday night Zumba will continue virtually.

Resident March/April Fitness Registration
has been moved to Wednesday, February 25 at 10:00 AM.

Non‑Resident Fitness Registration
has been moved to Thursday, February 26 at 10:00 AM.

Registration for all other March events
will continue on Tuesday, February 24 at 10:00 AM for adults and 6:00 PM for children and teens.

Presented by St. John’s University Adjunct Professor Howard Ehrlich in partnership with the Greens' Men's Group. Made possible by a grant from the New York Council for the Humanities.

In a six part series, through the use of fifteen selected movie excerpts, examine: how each film treated our presidents in respect to accuracy, whether the portrayal was balanced or bias, whether the correct actor was chosen and how the movie was received by the public and the critics. The presidents selected for this series are: George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Today's lecture will be on Franklin, Roosevelt and Truman.
