Inclement Weather Notice

Due to the upcoming inclement weather, the library is closed Sunday, February 22 and Monday, February 23.

All community groups and programs are canceled. All fitness classes except for Monday night Zumba will continue virtually.

Resident March/April Fitness Registration
has been moved to Wednesday, February 25 at 10:00 AM.

Non‑Resident Fitness Registration
has been moved to Thursday, February 26 at 10:00 AM.

Registration for all other March events
will continue on Tuesday, February 24 at 10:00 AM for adults and 6:00 PM for children and teens.

Event Details

In Partnership with Senator Mario Mattera and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office 

The event will provide residents with an easy, confidential and safe way properly dispose of unused or expired medications.  Residents are encouraged to drop off expired and unused medications and sharps at the event site.

All collected medication will be safely disposed of by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office to help keep these medications from polluting our environment and help eliminate the risk of these drugs getting into the hands of small children or those who might misuse them.

The event will also help raise awareness of the dangers of flushing medications down the toilet.  Improperly disposed medications pose a problem to the community’s water supply and environment.
